AmeriCares Celebrates National Volunteer Week

  • April 20, 2009

“Celebrating People in Action” is the theme of this year’s National Volunteer Week.  Commemorated April 19-25th this year, it is an appropriate time to pause and honor the individuals who volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities, whether close to home or around the globe.

AmeriCares volunteers are a meaningful part of our team and are important to our success. Each year over 4,000 volunteers work in various capacities in one of our three community programs or in our headquarters, contributing their time and talent to our programs.

We would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to each individual who has made a difference in the communities that we serve and on the impact that AmeriCares has around the globe. We are very fortunate to have a dedicated network of committed individuals, who connect with our mission through volunteerism.
