The past year and more have highlighted the increasing frequency and severity of overlapping crises – driven by extreme weather events, the worst earthquake in nearly a century in Türkiye and Syria and the War in Ukraine. This trend has had a devastating impact on health, particularly among groups vulnerable to disasters, as communities have struggled to rebuild from concurrent and consecutive events. Active Emergency
Americares deployed an emergency response team to support survivors and address the most urgent health needs in Canalete, Los Córdobas and Puerto Escondido, where access to clean water is critical.
Americares is responding to health needs in Lebanon and Syria, supporting partner organizations providing health services to those directly affected by the crisis.
