AmeriCares deployed the 40-foot mobile clinic to the hard-hit borough last week, allowing Beacon Christian Community Health Center to remain open despite major power outages. Once power was restored, the mobile clinic began making stops at emergency shelters and aid distribution centers. AmeriCares is also delivering truckloads of bottled water, blankets, first aid kits and other relief supplies to shelters throughout the New York metro area.
