Stamford, Conn. – Sept. 18, 2013 – AmeriCares is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of Hearst Connecticut Newspapers Top Workplaces for a second consecutive year. AmeriCares was one of 35 employers in southwest Connecticut recently honored based on the results of an employee survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with 37 major publishing partners and recognizes a list of 150 National Top Workplaces.
AmeriCares, a Stamford-based nonprofit global health and disaster relief organization that delivers medical aid to more than 90 countries annually, was recognized as one of the best mid-size companies. The organization prides itself on fostering an open environment where managers and employees engage in regular conversations about expectations, performance, professional development and career planning. The organization also strives to create a transparent culture by offering frequent opportunities for employees to share updates about current programs and new initiatives, and to hear about the future direction and plans for the organization.
