Stamford, Conn. – April 28, 2022 – Thrive Founder & CEO Arianna Huffington and CNN Anchor and National Correspondent Erica Hill will headline the third annual Americares Partner Summit on Wednesday, May 4, in New York City.
The one-day gathering will bring together heads of industry, public health experts and leaders in philanthropy to explore the future of health, climate change, the health needs of refugees and the changing workplace. Huffington will address the summit’s theme of “FutureNow” in a conversation with Hill, exploring how the COVID-19 pandemic propelled the world into the future, including forever changing the workplace.
“I am excited to join Americares for this important conversation about prioritizing mental health and well-being. This is a time of constant change and disruption, but it’s also a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine how we work and live. We need to do away with the zero-sum idea of work and life reflected in the myth of ‘work-life balance’ by embedding well-being into the workflow itself,” Huffington said. “Life-work integration is a framework on which we can build a way of living and working that allows us to truly thrive.”
Other speakers will share their professional insights into topics such as medicine security, climate change, the changing workplace and the health needs of refugees.
The speakers will include leaders from Americares, Cisco, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Johnson & Johnson, Korn Ferry Institute, the National Association of Community Health Centers, Partnership for Quality Medical Donations and Xylem, Inc.
“At Americares, we are passionate about finding thoughtful solutions to complex health problems like medicine insecurity and climate change,” said Americares President and CEO Christine Squires. “We are excited to bring together leaders from the nonprofit and private sectors to shed light on these important issues and advance collaborative solutions.”
The summit will take place in person at Convene, 237 Park Ave, New York from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET and will also be available via livestream. To register for the livestream go to: sandbox.americares.org/events/2022-partner-summit-livestream
