One of history’s longest-running and most intractable humanitarian crises and decreasing levels of international funding of humanitarian efforts has placed a massive strain on the already under-resourced health care sector.
Coordinating with our partners in the region, we have regularly provided access to medicine and humanitarian assistance to address chronic shortages and limited health care resources. Americares aid is distributed to health and social service institutions that include specialized hospitals and health campaigns focusing on diabetes, hypertension, nutrition, psychosocial assistance, maternal and child health as well primary care clinics, schools and community programs.

Americares is working with a longtime partner organization, Anera, which is responding to the need for medicines and medical supplies in Gaza in the latest conflict. We are providing funding for antibiotics, intravenous fluids, as well as medications for chronic health conditions vital for maintaining health.
