Stamford, Conn. – Aug. 29, 2021– An Americares emergency response team has deployed to the Gulf Coast to respond to Hurricane Ida. The storm is expected to make landfall today— exactly 16 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina devastated the region.

Stamford, Conn. – Aug. 26, 2021 – An Americares airlift carrying 12 tons of
critically needed medicines and relief items arrived in Haiti today to support local health providers treating earthquake survivors. The chartered plane landed in Port-au-Prince this afternoon carrying wound care supplies, personal protective equipment, cardiovascular medication and medical supplies valued at over $6 million.
